The Nick Stone Band was raised on a hard diet of college culture, good music, and Busch Light. In its infant stages, the band cut their teeth the old fashioned way, burning down every sticky-staged bar in the Columbia area. Realizing the city was due for a new sound, the band started to craft a sound that has flavors of country, southern rock, boogie, and island music. With an original catalog of songs that are made for the front porch, the band has tailored their music around bringing that porch pickin’ sound to the stage, adding some additional seasoning with screaming Les Paul, gospel organ and thumping bass lines.
Nick Stone was born to write and perform his own style of country and island music. Ever since he was a child, Nick's dream was to be a rockstar!! He spent his youth hunting, fishing, and love'n everyday in the foothills of Virginia and it was that lifestyle that drove his love for country music. Nick started teaching himself the acoustic guitar when he was only 12 years old and developed his own unique style of writing music. Like many 12 year olds, he had a dream that one day he would be playing on stages all across the country. After heading off to college, he realized that he could turn his dream into reality after receiving overwhelming support and positive feedback performing at local open mic nights. He soon met his guitarist and drummer and started playing shows whenever they could around the University of South Carolina and other schools in the South East. After a successful first year of hitting the road hard and keeping up with school, as a 19-year-old, he packed up and headed to Nashville, TN. He spent summers there honing his craft and learning the music industry from the inside. Now when he returns to Nashville, he plays at bars from Broadway to Belmont, and fills the rest of his time writing and hanging out with some of the other best songwriters in the industry. Don't let his good looks fool you, Nick is known for his stage presence and exceptional songwriting with hits such as "I See You"; "Two Week Vacation"; "Go"; "Cowboy In A Song"; "52 Hours"; and many more that he performs live. Nick will be releasing multiple songs in the spring of 2023. After that, he'll be bringing his live show of original music (and a few covers) all over the southeast.
